Made by the family
If you can picture it, they can make it.
Dennis O'Dowd drew and sculpted long before he framed. His drawings lean toward realism, and you can buy one from his collection or commission a custom piece, which he can frame in the same shop. A drawing that started as a birthday present has become one customer's family heirloom.
His son, Lance, earned a BFA at Adams State University and works in wood, bronze and mixed media. Wood pieces range from turned and carved bowls to custom barn doors and garden gates, built for a home or office and meant to be handed down.
The family also takes on sculpture, welded metal pieces, pottery and ceramics, and larger outdoor projects such as landscaping features and outdoor art that make a property stand out. Prints are part of it too: limited edition prints of original work, and prints from other artists the shop represents. Commissioned work carries the same satisfaction guarantee as the framing, and finished pieces can be picked up in Alamosa, delivered or shipped.
“I went to Dennis with a simple idea that he crafted into something that will simply become a family heirloom. The project began as a birthday present for my wife but will go on to last generations.”

Commission questions
Ordering original work
How do I get an original piece made?
Tell the family what you want, the size and the material you would like it made from. Chances are they can create it.
How long does a custom piece take?
It depends on the piece. Supply, size and the kind of work all affect timing, and you will get an estimate when you talk it through.
Do you sell other artists' work?
Yes. The shop represents several artists, with original artwork, limited edition prints and regular prints.
Can you ship a finished piece?
Yes. Pickup, delivery and shipping are all available. Shipping is priced separately from the piece.
